The 21 ha of the park are located on the plateau of Koekelberg; they present a long promenade network, comparable to the one of the Cinquantenaire, punctuated with lawns and trees clumps alternated with groves and flower-beds.
The park also contains some fittings for leisure purposes, resting area, playground…
The drawing of the park evokes the Royal monogram of Léopold II, under whose reign it was designed, simultaneously with the perspective of the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur and the very long one of the Boulevard Leopold II.
Access : possibility to park along the park, in the Avenue des Gloires Nationales or Avenue du Panthéon. Several entrances are available along these avenues.
Easy walkways on asphalt or packed soil.
Urban furniture:
The park has a lot of benches and bins in the resting areas and along the paths. The furniture is accessible in the resting areas, there are however some difficulties due to the bad state of the soil. The asphalt parts are also a problem because of the deep long sewers that disable the access to the furniture.
