Uber WAV : new transport service for wheelchair users in Brussels

Uber is launching “Uber WAV”, a transport service dedicated to wheelchair users in Brussels, the mobility company announced on Tuesday. This new service joins those already offered by taxi companies and STIB.

This new category of taxi is available on the Uber app; users can access a transport service with vehicles adapted to their needs. These vehicles are equipped with a rear ramp and special securing systems, and can accommodate up to four passengers in addition to the person in a wheelchair.
