Wooden modules to improve accessibility

Sunday 27 November 2022

With the support of the City of Brussels in the framework of the Participatory Budget 2020, our association, AMT CONCEPT, has been selected as the winner for the project to build wooden modules to improve accessibility around the Peter Benoit Square in Neder-Over-Heembeek.

The project consists of 2 parts:

  1. Design, manufacture and installation of removable wooden ramps for the traders who responded favourably to the call for candidates and who have one or two steps to enter their shops.
They will facilitate access to the interior of the shops for PRMs.
  2. Design, manufacture and installation of accessible and inclusive wooden furniture.
To this end, 3 pieces of furniture were designed and conceived:
    – Round wooden table
    – Oval wooden table
    – Bench

The modules are made by La Ferme Nos Pilifs and will be placed in the framework of the disability week which takes place from 26 November to 3 December 2022.
