The museum is made of two parts. One permanent exhibition hall dedicated to the Movies’ prehistory and another for projections. There are two theatres, in the first one are presented sound films. The second theatre is exclusively dedicated to the silent movies. During the projections, movies are accompanied with a piano.

Opening hours : Monday, Tuesday, Friday from 4.30 pm till the end of the last projection. Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, from 2.30 pm till the end of the last projection. On Thursday, from 12.30 till the last projection. Reading room: from Monday till Friday from 9.30 am till 5.30 pm.
You should arrive 15 minutes before the projections in order to be able to enter easily into the projection rooms. |

Remarks Entrance

The entrance for persons in a wheelchair occurs via the BOZAR (Palais des Beaux-Arts, 23 rue Ravenstein). You have to go towards the main entrance, go a little further and on the left, there is a door with a bell (high) leading to the filmmuseum.

The museum is at floor-level as well as the movie theatres. there is a reserved seat for the wheelchair-users.

Remarks Use

There is one adapted toilet on the right at the entrance of the museum Cinematek, down the big hall. There is not enough room to turn the wheelchair, go in forward and go out backwards.
