The ’Palais des Congrès’ that was inaugurated in 1958 for the World Fair has been renovated in 2009 and changed into Square Brusels Meeting Centre. The complex of this Palace consists of 2 buildings and is organised around the gardens of the Albertine, the Musées des Beaux Arts and the Musée des Instruments de Musique. It is the place for all round events with for example the Foire du livre (Book Fair).
Access:
The easiest way to get there is via the rue du Ravenstein nr 2, take the first turn to the left and then you get in de rue du Coudenberg to get to the elevator in the glass entrance -T. You can also go via the boulevard de l’Impératrice where you can also find several reserved parking spaces nearby the royal library (Bibliothèque Royale). The access via the parking of the Albertine - 3, the reserved spaces are located on the other side of the Square Brussels Meeting. You can also park nearby the entrance rue du Coudenberg but there’ s no reserved space.
Entrance:
With the elevator in the glass cube. We strongly advice the visually disabled to take the entrance rue Ravenstein nr 2 since the access to the glass cube is rather dangereous for PRM’s and so is the entrance via the stairs of the Monts des Arts. There is no guidance whatsoever outside and is practically unexisting inside.
