The delicatessen “Rob The Gourmet’s Market”, an emblematic place in Brussels since 1972, houses a gourmet restaurant on the first floor of its store.<\/p>\n

When it was designed in November 2007, there was a strong desire to make the restaurant accessible to everyone by installing an elevator equipped with Braille buttons, a door width of 90cm and a handrail.<\/p>\n

In a cozy and vegetal atmosphere, the chefs offer a menu with fresh products, rigorously selected and available in the store.<\/p>\n

Whether for breakfast, for lunch or for a snack in the afternoon, the team takes care to welcome you with a smile and serve you throughout the day.<\/p>\n

Little anecdote, during my visit to write the article, I met a family of 3 generations gathered to celebrate the birthday of their one-year-old granddaughter.<\/p>\n

They mention the importance of this place to meet because it was the only wheelchair accessible restaurant in the area.<\/p>\n

Arriving by public transport?<\/p>\n

Tram No. 8 drops you off there in front of the establishment.<\/p>\n

A tactile guide takes you to the foot of the store.<\/p>\n

Arriving by car?<\/p>\n

The establishment has free parking with 2 spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility.<\/p>\n

The little extra\u2026<\/p>\n

An accessible toilet is located in the basement in front of a superb wine cellar.<\/p>\n

To get there, have someone accompany you because you have to take a sloping treadmill.<\/p>\n
